About me

Here’s what I’m about:

First, I’m a wife, mother and homemaker. Yep, you heard me right. I take care of small children, and may even bear a few more. I love the fact that motherhood is coming back into the mainstream. (Women’s lib has done women a major disservice, in my experience.) I cook, clean, and do all of that jazz. It’s the hardest job on the planet, and I’m glad to be able to do it without too much interruption or distraction. (Except for those errant thoughts that tend to take root and develop until it would be really nice to just bang ‘em out and be done with it.) Deeply religious, I’m just as likely to post about my scripture study as I am on how to fold a fitted sheet, principles of natural law, or economics. (Murray Rothbard is one of my heroes.) I tend to think about things, and want to understand truth. I live in a very independently-minded area of rural America. Not quite Hardyville, but we’ve got our transplants from there. I hate the “new” trends recycling 60’s & 70’s looks which have blotted out any remaining semblance of style or good design that was hanging on tenaciously in consumer goods. (Not to mention sane color theory!)

. . . there was me. Annalea. Wife, mom, cook, seamstress, head diaper changer, referee, janitor, hair dresser, band-aid dispenser, lullabye singer, justice distributor, and a hundred other things. I have a lot of interests, and sometimes wish I had more time for them. I’m not entirely sure what the overall “theme” of this whole blog thing will be, so you can just come along for the ride and see what happens. My initial thoughts are that it’s simply a sounding board for the things I think, those that I believe, and what happens in my life. It’s a chance for me to polish up my rusty writing skills . . . once honed and precise. But that was almost ten years ago . . . It’s a chance for me to share the things I’ve learned, and maybe help out some other mama or father struggling with small children.

And, with that said, dinner’s burning. :o )
